Fall Prevention Program

The Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center is pleased to offer a fall prevention program designed to help you improve your mobility and reduce your risk of falling:

  • Each patient is evaluated by Barbara Reiser MD, medical director of the Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center and board-certified physiatrist (specialist in rehabilitation).

  • Reiser refers patients, as appropriate, to the rehabilitation treatment team of highly skilled physical and occupational therapists, who provide an individually designed treatment program for each patient.

How you can benefit from the Fall Prevention Program

  • Falling is one of the most common causes of injury, particularly in
    older age groups.

  • You learn what leads to your unsteadiness or falling.

  • You learn how to reduce your risk of falling.

  • You work to improve your strength, flexibility, and safe mobility.

  • You gain the self-confidence and freedom you need to return to the
    activities you enjoy!

For an appointment, your doctor may refer you or you may call the office directly
at 401-845-1655. Fall prevention program services are covered by most health
insurance policies
