Sensory Processing/Communication Disorders
Outpatient Clinic
at Bradley Hospital
The
Sensory Processing/Communications Disorders Outpatient Clinic at
Bradley Hospital assesses and treats children and adolescents experiencing
a sensory processing disorder as well as a communication disorder.
The clinic maximizes the opportunity to provide holistic services for
each child by using a collaborative assessment and treatment approach
between both occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists.
The Children We Serve
Most children and adolescents can organize sensory information and
communicate their wants, needs and thoughts; however, some struggle with
this process. Without the ability to use their senses to form a composite
picture of who they are physically, where they are and what is going on
around them, it is difficult for them to interact with others, communicate
effectively and function independently.
